From 23 to 26 November 2026, Frontex will be holding General Industry Days. It is a great opportunity to engage with the European Border and Coast Guard community, as well as technology providers and equipment manufacturers who will present innovative solutions that can address the challenges we face. The event will consist of online 30-minute sessions with the selected companies.
We are looking for innovations in the following fields:
- border checks: biometrics, document readers, border crossing point scanners for persons and for goods;
- border surveillance:
- platforms – aerial, maritime, land, autonomous systems (UAVs/UGVs), high-altitude platform stations (HAPS);
- sensors – radars, cameras (thermal/optical), location systems jamming detection;
- information systems and command: communications, situational awareness, artificial intelligence, data analytics;
- security and interception: counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS), speech/language/dialect recognition, vehicle automatic number plate recognition (ANPR/LPR);
- logistics, search and rescue, others: vehicle rental, training, general logistics support.
While the overall scope is broad, priority will be granted to companies presenting innovations in the following fields:
- signal and jamming detection: practical solutions for identifying, classifying, and alerting on unauthorized interference, spoofing, or anomalous radio frequency activity, as well as providing localisation of the physical source of the jamming or interference signal;
- tactical wireless camera systems: remote surveillance in daytime and dark or low-light environments, with movement detection and picture transfers to a central surveillance workstation;
- video spectral comparators: portable and cost-efficient document examination technologies for forgery detection, minimising logistical and maintenance requirements, as well as operator training needs;
- continuous operational readiness services in the maritime domain: enhancing Frontex’s maritime operational readiness, tactical training, and procedural validation using rigid hull inflatable boats, with the potential integration into the European Integrated Border Management.
