On Tuesday, 16 October 2018,
Frontex launches the second of a series of webcasts on the research of the
graduates of its unique European Joint Master’s in Strategic Border Management
programme.
The event, which will be streamed
live, will feature Superintendent Lars Andreas Lindstøl of the Norwegian
Police, who will talk about “Integrated Border Management (IBM) and Network
Governance”. He will focus on the way the IBM concept can be understood and implemented in each Member
State.
This Master’s on the Road webcast
will be hosted by the Alexandru Ioan Cuza Police Academy in Bucharest,
Romania. It will be broadcasted at vimeo.com/291456148 on 16
October 2018, at 11.00 EEST (Bucharest time) or 10.00 CET (Warsaw time).
The European Joint Master’s
programme is Europe’s only such specialised degree focused on border management
from a strategic point of view. It was developed by the agency in collaboration
with six partner universities and more than 20 EU border guard training
organisations and academies.
The European Joint Master’s
programme reflects one of Frontex’s core commitments to support education and
development of national border and coast guards by establishing common training
standards at the European level.
The first group of 23 students
completed the European Joint Master’s in Strategic Border Management programme
a year ago. The second class will graduate in June 2019.
