Warsaw, 18 June 2009 - Today, Frontex Executive Director Ilkka Laitinen and the Deputy Chief of Police, Head of Border Police Sector Vesko Vukadinovic, signed a Working Arrangement between Frontex and the Republic of Montenegro.
“A well functioning operational and technical cooperation across the EU External Borders is one of the core elements of the EU Integrated Border Management concept implemented by Frontex” - stressed
Mr. Laitinen in his remarks.
Frontex has also signed working arrangements with the competent authorities of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Croatia, Moldova, Georgia, Albania, Serbia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and the United States.
