On 21-22 November 2006 Frontex and the Border Guard of Finland organise the Border Management Cooperation Conference in Imatra, Finland with participants from EU Member States, Schengen Associated Countries as well as some neighbouring countries of the European Union.
It is the first major event within a Frontex project aimed at enhancing daily cooperation of border guard services on both sides of the external border. During the course of the project best practices within the Member States´ border management cooperation at the external border will be identified and further developed. These may include e.g. various existing agreements, exchange of information or joint actions.
