Frontex and the Bulgarian Border Police have completed a pilot on how drones can support border surveillance across the EU.
The operation covered 8 100 square kilometres and tested both long- and short-endurance drones with advanced surveillance and communications. The goal: improve situational awareness, support officers on the ground and help detect cross-border crime more effectively.
