The OnMoveID project aims to enhance travel document management at Schengen borders, using an extended EUDI (EU Digital Identity) wallet, smartphone and external sensor technologies for quick, privacy-preserving traveller identification.
The solution includes a one-time, 10 minutes registration via a trusted EUDI wallet, with biometric data stored and verified; a 5 minutes backup registration at the border using document scanning and AI for identity verification; and traveller identification in 20 seconds using ultrasound and multispectral cameras. Bus inspections will take approximately 2 minutes.
