Strategy, Governance and External Relations Division (STRAT)

The STRAT Division oversees the integration processes defining the Agency’s strategy and governance, and shapes external collaboration efforts. Its main tasks are to enable the implementation of the strategic vision of Frontex, oversee the realisation of the commitment to enhanced transparency, accountability, and compliance, oversee the governance framework and manage organisational transformation, strengthen relations with EU institutions and agencies, EU MSs/SAC, IOs, and TCs, including via Frontex Liaison Officers, ensure transparent communication on Frontex activities, and manage internal communication.

The Division consists of three Units and two Offices:
