With 17 years of experience in marketing and public relations, I joined Frontex in 2022, as part of the Standing Corps. My initial deployments took me to Latvia and North Macedonia, where I gained firsthand experience in operational work at Europe’s external borders.
Later, I took on the role of Field Communications Officer in Vienna, combining my background in strategic communication with on-the-ground operational insights. My job is to bridge the gap between field activities and public awareness, ensuring that the stories of border guards and their crucial work are effectively communicated.
Being deployed alongside officers from across Europe has shown me the power of international cooperation in border security. Effective communication is just as essential as operational efficiency, as it fosters trust, informs the public, and highlights the dedication of those protecting the EU’s external borders.
Based in Vienna, I continue to grow in this dynamic role, navigating the challenges of field communications while promoting the great work we do in the Western Balkans.
