The Training Unit provides a coherent, integrated and centralised education and training system that operates in line with the Capability Development Plan. The Training Unit contributes to the preparedness of the standing corps and fosters the development of a common European border and coast guard culture as a key element of the European integrated border management. The Training Unit develops training cooperation networks and implements training grants.
To achieve these objectives, the unit is divided in three sectors: Basic Training, Specialisation Training and Training Support.
